Guilty Crown takes place in a dystopian Japan in 2039, a decade after the Apocalypse Virus outbreak during the “Lost Christmas” incident. The nation is now controlled by a militarized organization called GHQ.
The story centers on Shu Ouma, a high school student who acquires the Power of the King, enabling him to draw out “Voids,” which are physical representations of people’s hearts. After encountering Inori Yuzuriha, a singer and member of the resistance group Funeral Parlor, Shu becomes involved in a rebellion against GHQ.
As Shu faces challenges of leadership, betrayal, and the weight of his power, he must choose between protecting his loved ones or risking everything to save Japan.
