After the successful and popular third numbered entry in the franchise, Ubisoft shortly followed it up in 2013 with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The DLC may have seemed outside left field at first, but Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon has since garnered a reputation as one of the best and most enjoyable pieces of content in the series. Its neon-soaked satire of an 80s/90s action movie and cartoon mash-up married to Far Cry 3 mechanics was widely liked, and since its release many fans have been wanting more of what Blood Dragon offered.
