Wash It All Away – Anime Teaser Visual | 2026 Release Date

Voice actress Suzushiro shared her thoughts on being cast:

“When I first read the original manga, I was deeply moved by Hattori-sensei’s stunning illustrations of Atami and the depth of the world of dry cleaning—a subject I knew nothing about. I still remember how happy I felt when I received the news that I got the role. The next day, I even brought clothes to the cleaners after a long while ♪. Kinme’s sole remaining memory is about cleaning, and the people and stories she encounters through her work are truly captivating. I will do my best in bringing her to life!”

Wash It All Away (Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka) is a manga series by Mitsuru Hattori, serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine from July 2017 to June 2023. The complete story has been compiled into ten volumes. Square Enix is also releasing it in English, describing the story:

For two years, Wakana Kinme has operated a laundry service in the seaside resort town of Atami. Kinme Cleaning is a beloved local business, and the residents of Atami admire Wakana’s dedication to her craft. She enjoys a fulfilling life, making friends with the locals and visiting hot springs. Despite having no memory of her own past, her cleaning services preserve the cherished memories within her customers’ treasured belongings.

Mitsuru Hattori also celebrated the series' conclusion with a congratulatory message and a new illustration of Kinme.

“The anime adaptation was decided quite some time ago, I believe right before the release of Volume 9. Since then, I’ve enjoyed watching the anime take shape slowly but steadily. I hope everyone looks forward to seeing Kinme and the others come to life through animation.”
