After much thought, I’ve decided that Anime Social may be shutting down soon. This community has been live for a year, and while I had big hopes for it, there’s been little to no growth during that time.

On top of that, I’ve been struggling with my mental health and haven’t been as active as I wanted to be. Running a community takes energy and consistency, and right now, I need to focus on taking care of myself.

What does this mean?
If Anime Social doesn’t become more active in the next 6 months, I’ll will have no choice but shut it down. I truly appreciate everyone who joined and supported Anime Social. Thank you for being part of this journey, even if it didn’t turn out the way I envisioned.

What’s next?
This isn’t the end of connecting with fellow fans! We still have our Discord server, (Link to Discord server will be provided in the Offline Message when AS shuts down.) and I also run another site called Geek Nexus, which focuses on broader geek culture. I’ll be putting more energy into that project when I’m ready, so stay tuned for updates.
