Multiple new projects for the Code Geass anime series are in production, as announced at the “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion & Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture Special Birthday Screening Event,” which also celebrated Lelouch's birthday on December 5. Additionally, a screening event for all 13 Code Geass movies has been planned, with more details forthcoming.

The event included Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch), Kohei Amasaki (Rose), and producer Kojiro Taniguchi, who reminisced about the previous year's event where Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture was unveiled.

Producer Taniguchi playfully chided Fukuyama for not disclosing his role in the new anime. Fukuyama humorously responded, "Remember, I never said I wasn't part of it. I only said I didn't know or wasn't involved. I never lied!" He also graciously accepted a bouquet on behalf of Lelouch as a birthday gift.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, created by studio SUNRISE and directed by Goro Taniguchi with Ichiro Okouchi as the scriptwriter and CLAMP for the original character designs, first aired its season from October 2006 to July 2007, followed by the sequel, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, from April 2008 to September 2008, each with 25 episodes. The series expanded with OVA side stories, manga, light novel adaptations, and several movies. An alternate universe recap movie trilogy was released between 2017 and 2018, leading to the original sequel movie, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection, in 2019.

The franchise's most recent release was the Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture movie, which debuted in four parts from May to August 2024, with an episodic version streaming on Disney starting June 21.
