Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2 unveiled an April 2025 release date and additional cast member at Jump Festa ’25. Nao Toyama joins the cast as Riku Tamahana. The character Riku also appeared in the last episode of the first season. Inori Minase and Takuma Terashima were present at the stage panel to deliver the announcements.

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2 cast announcement

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is a manga series by Asato Mizu. The first season premiered in April 2022 with 12 episodes. Studio Felix Film animated the anime with Tomoe Makino and Yasutaka Yamamoto as directors. Takao Yoshitaka wrote the script and MONACA composed the music.

Voice actor unit Trysail performed the opening theme of the series while the musical duo HaKoniwalily sang the ending theme. The cast of the first season consisted of:

  • Takuma Terashima as Raido Matsuboshi

  • M・A・O as Mitsuki Oshiro

  • Tetsuya Kakihara as Ishikawa

  • Tomori Kusunoki as Hanako Sato

  • Kana Hanazawa as Tobaru-sensei

  • Yurie Kozakai as Miyahira-sensei

The series is available to stream on Bilibili and Crunchyroll and the latter describes the plot of the series as follows:
Socially awkward Aharen-san has personal boundary issues, either getting too close or too far from her classmates. When fellow student Raido picks up an eraser she drops, Aharen-san decides they’re now best friends. Whether studying, playing the arcade, or just eating lunch—she’s along for the ride. What follows is an impromptu bonding that shows affection can blossom in the unlikeliest of places!
