Dekin no Mogura: The Earthbound Mole anime has unveiled a new trailer, featuring details about its theme songs and two additional voice cast members. Announced in November 2024, the anime is being animated by studio Brain’s Base, with Crunchyroll confirming it will stream the series.
The opening theme is “Kamidanomi” by syudou, while the ending theme is “Kenso feat. Aile The Shota” by Sheeno Mirin. The trailer also includes a preview of the opening song.
Yuichi Nakamura provides the voice for the main character Mogura, and the full voice cast includes:

The official website outlines the story: "I can’t die because I’ve been banned from the afterlife." Under peculiar circumstances, Mogura, a questionable self-proclaimed hermit, starts gathering the "light" of spirits in a lantern, hoping it will grant him passage to the afterlife. It rumored that those who cross paths with him begin to witness bizarre phenomena.

Natsumi Eguchi, the creator of Dekin no Mogura: The Earthbound Mole (also known as The Banned Mole), both writes and illustrates the manga. The series began serialization in Kodansha’s Morning magazine back in April 2021, with nine volumes published as of April 23, 2025. The main anime staff features:
