The story is set in Tokyo, where a deadly phenomenon called spontaneous human combustion threatens the city. To combat this, the Fire Force is formed. Special Fire Cathedral 8 welcomes a unique new member, Shinra, a boy who can run at rocket speed, leaving behind the iconic “devil’s footprints” (and frequently ruining his shoes). Together, Shinra and his team must uncover the source of this bizarre epidemic before the city is consumed by flames.
