Milan Records has released the original soundtrack for DAN DA DAN today, featuring music by composer Kensuke Ushio. The album, which includes Ushio's original score, is now available across all major music streaming platforms.
Composer kensuke ushio said about the soundtrack:
When I first read the original comic of DAN DA DAN, I was captivated by the attitude to encapsulate various cultures to create a new story. The occult, UFO, rom-com, old Japanese movies, you can see the bits and pieces of those elements sampled in the storyline. Thinking back ‘sampling’ was always there in the music I grew up with. For this project, my goal was to create music unlike anything you’ve ever heard before, featuring a variety of samplings (legit!), yet still be a cohesive part of DAN DA DAN. When you’re done listening to this record, please go to the record store to dig for music you can sample!

Yukinobu Tatsu is the author and illustrator of the manga DAN DA DAN, serialized on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ service starting in 2021. The narrative centers around a high school girl named Momo and her classmate Ken Takakura. Hailing from a family of spirit mediums, Momo's life contrasts with Ken's, an enthusiast of the occult. Following a botched challenge, Ken, who adopts the nickname Okarun, becomes cursed and gains supernatural yokai abilities.
