Studio BLADE is bringing the light novel by Mikawa Ghost to life in an anime adaptation. Directed by Kazuomi Koga, with scripts by Toko Machida and character designs by Katsuyuki Sato, the anime released its second trailer last June.

The light novel, first published in April 2019 with illustrations by Tomari, has been adapted into a manga by Hira Hiraoka, serialized in Square Enix’s Manga Up! magazine, and also available in English through Comikey.

J-Novel Club, which licenses the light novel in English, describes the story: Akiteru, unlucky in love and scorned by every girl he meets, is focused on securing a spot for his game-development team at his uncle’s company. But his uncle gives him one condition—pretend to be his daughter’s boyfriend. This complicates things, especially with Iroha, his best friend’s sister, who loves to tease him. How will she react to the news?
