Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 to its conclusion in August 2024, marking a decade-long journey. The finale was celebrated with special illustrations and messages.
Studio BONES adapted the manga into an anime starting in 2016, which grew to include seven seasons, with the seventh season wrapping up on October 12, 2024. The franchise also boasts four anime films, the most recent being My Hero Academia: You’re Next, released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on February 19, 2025. This movie, based on an original story by Horikoshi, began streaming on Netflix and Crunchyroll on April 20.
