The anime "OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Knew What She’s Saying" has released a third trailer and key visual in anticipation of its premiere on January 4, 2025. Studio Millepensee is behind the animation, with Shin Itagaki serving as the chief director and Shingo Tanabe as the director. Crunchyroll will stream the anime with English subtitles.
A new visual and teaser trailer were unveiled in July, followed by another trailer in October. Shin Itagaki and Shingo Tanabe are not only directing but also supervising the script. Character design is by Tomohiro Yoshida, and the music is composed by Tomohisa Ishikawa, Yoshimi Katayama, and Ayano Kinjo. The voice cast for the anime includes:

Egumi Sora is the author and illustrator of the manga series "Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hogen Sugite Tsurasugiru," also known as "The Girl I Fell For in Okinawa Speaks in a Difficult Dialect." Serialized on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website since January 2020, this romantic comedy follows Teruaki Nakamura, who moves from Tokyo to Okinawa. There, he meets Hina Kyan, a girl he likes but struggles to understand due to her Okinawan dialect. Kana Higa, Hina's friend who secretly harbors feelings for Teruaki, assists him by translating the dialect.
