Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 has released a new trailer showcasing Reno Ichikawa wielding his new Numbered Kaiju Weapon. Previously, the anime revealed visuals for Gen Narumi and Isao Shinomiya.

Episode 19, titled “The Wall,” is the 7th episode of Season 2 and is set to premiere on August 30. In this episode, Reno, having successfully completed the one-month training period from the previous episode, embarks on his first battle with the Numbered Weapon. The new trailer highlights his action-packed debut.

Studio Production I.G is back in action, with Studio Khara once again handling the creature designs. The anime has already unveiled its theme songs through two trailers. Aurora performs the opening song, “You Can’t Run From Yourself,” while OneRepublic returns with the new ending track, “Beautiful Colors.”

Naoya Matsumoto's manga Kaiju No. 8 started serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform, with 15 volumes released by March. The series concluded this week with Chapter 129. Viz Media handles its English publication.

The franchise's game adaptation, Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, has surpassed 750,000 million pre-registrations and is set for a worldwide release on August 31.
