To mark Japan's unofficial "Rock Day" on June 9, a unique collaboration has been announced between the anime Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty and the guitar brand PRS (Paul Reed Smith) Guitars. The partnership highlights a guitar inspired by a PRS design, used by the anime’s main character, Lilisa Suzunomiya. More details about the collaboration will be shared soon. The anime is currently streaming on HIDIVE.

The original soundtrack for the anime will be available on July 2 through major streaming and download platforms. It includes 52 background music tracks and five bonus instrumental covers performed by members of BAND-MAID and musician Hitoshiya Ishidoya, also known as Miguel.

Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty x PRS Guitars Collaboration Visual

A digital campaign featuring music-themed manga, including Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty and Bocchi the Rock!, is now live on various e-book platforms. From June 9 to 22, selected titles are available for free or at discounted prices.

Hiroshi Fukuda’s Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty has been serialized in Young Animal (Hakusensha) since October 2022, with seven volumes released as of March 28, 2025. The story follows Lilisa Suzunomiya, who becomes the daughter of a real estate tycoon through her mother’s remarriage. Forced to abandon her guitar and emotions to live as a ‘proper lady,’ Lilisa meets Otoha Kurogane, a virtuoso drummer at the same prestigious girls’ school. Together, they reignite Lilisa’s love for rock music and dive into band activities.

A Blu-ray box set of the series is set for release on October 29, featuring newly illustrated cover art and retailer-exclusive bonus items.

Other recent anime about girls in rock bands include Bocchi the Rock!, BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!, and Girls Band Cry.
