Studio Atelier Pontdarc (No Longer Allowed in Another World, Uncle from Another World) is handling the animation, with Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend, Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible) directing. Jukki Hanada (The Dangers in My Heart, Sound! Euphonium, Love Live! School Idol Project) is overseeing the series composition, while Kyuta Sakai (Steins;Gate, Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-) serves as character designer and chief animation director.

Oisicle Melonpan performs the opening theme song “Mikansei ni Matataite,” featured in the previously released trailer. The voice cast includes:

  • Hiyori Miyazaki as Wada

  • Yoshino Aoyama as Yamamoto

  • Saori Hayami as Saito

  • Jun Fukuyama as Duke Abel

The anime is adapted from a manga series by Shinichiro Nariie, which began in March 2020. Yen Press is releasing the manga in English and describes it as follows: Wada appears to be a quiet, wealthy girl, while Yamamoto comes off as a fearsome lone wolf to their classmates. However, Wada is secretly addicted to mobile games and has a love-hate obsession with a 2D character, while Yamamoto is fascinated by urban legends and devoted to her favorite YouTuber. Their not-so-secret daily ritual? Meeting at the food court after school to vent, laugh, and discover what makes each other tick!
