The second season of the TV Skip and Loafer is officially in development, with studio P.A. Works confirmed to be returning. celebratory illustration by the author has been released. Crunchyroll also confirmed that they will be streaming the sequel.

Studio P.A. Works animated the series under the direction of Kotomiai. The first season aired from April to June 2023, comprising 12 episodes in total. The cast includes:

  • Tomoyo Kurosawa as Mitsumi Iwakura

  • Akinori Egoshi as Sosuke Shima

  • Maaya Uchida as Yuzuki Marashige

  • Yuka Terasaki as Mika Egashira

  • Megumi Han as Makoto Kurume

  • Mitsuki Saiga as Nao-chan

  • Hikaru Tanaka as Mukai Tsukasa

  • Ayumu Murase as Kento Yamada

The anime is based on the manga by Misaki Takamatsu, which began serialization in 2018 in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine. Seven Seas Entertainment is licensing the manga in English.

Crunchyroll is streaming the first season and describes the series as follows:
This country girl is ready for the big city! Well, at least she thought she was. Mitsumi's dream is to attend a prestigious school and make the world a better place. But when she finally gets to, it turns out she isn't exactly prepared city life. Luckily, she runs into Shima, a sweet and handsome classmate becomes her friend! Can she make it in Tokyo with Shima her side?

The anime was considered one of the biggest trends in the Spring 2023 season.
