Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, the upcoming Netflix animated series, has unveiled its first trailer along with an October 14 release date. The series confirmed Liev Schreiber as the voice of Sam Fisher and is produced by Ubisoft Film & Television in collaboration with animation studios Sun Creature and Fost, with Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage directing.
Kirby Howell-Baptiste joins the cast as the voice of agent Zinnia McKenna. The official teaser trailer is now available to watch.
Derek Kolstad, known for John Wick, is the head writer and also an executive producer alongside Hélène Juguet, Hugo Revon, and Gérard Guillemot from Ubisoft.
Splinter Cell: Death Watch is based on the iconic Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell video games developed by Ubisoft. The series began in 2002, with the last game, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, released in 2013. The franchise has also inspired multiple novels and a movie adaptation starring Tom Hardy as Sam Fisher. A remake of the original game is currently in the works.
The plot centers around Sam Fisher, a highly skilled NSA operative from Third Echelon, as he infiltrates terrorist strongholds, gathers crucial intelligence by any means necessary, carries out missions with precision, and vanishes without a trace.
