Takopi’s Original Sin unveiled a special new visual featuring Shizuka and Marina from 2022 during the anime panel at Anime NYC. The event included a special screening of the first episode, and the anime’s director, Shinya Iino, made an appearance.
The series ran for six episodes from June 28 to August 1, dominating the weekly rankings throughout its run with five wins. Check out the new visual below.

Taizan 5 created and illustrated the manga Takopi’s Original Sin (Takopi no Genzai). It was serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform between December 2021 and March 2022, with a total of two compiled volumes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, summarizing the story:
A cute little alien named Takopi arrives on Earth. His mission? Not to meet our leader, but to spread happiness across the universe!
The first person Takopi encounters is a troubled fourth grader named Shizuka. (Or is she…?) Determined to make her smile again, Takopi uses his advanced technology to help, but his well-meaning efforts only lead to chaos and tragedy.
