Fandango revealed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has shattered records on its platform, becoming the top first-day ticket pre-seller for any anime movie in its history. The film surpassed the previous milestones set by Demon Slayer: Mugen Train (2021) and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (2022), reaching this achievement within just 24 hours of tickets going on sale.
Jerramy Hainline, EVP of Fandango, stated:
“We are blown away by the sheer excitement for the arrival of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle through the number of tickets sold in its first day. The overwhelming response is a true testament to the power of the anime community, and we are so proud to help bring anime into theaters so fans can experience it on the big screen.”
The film kicks off a three-part cinematic finale for the hugely popular Demon Slayer anime series, adapting the final section of Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga. Infinity Castle hits theaters across the United States on September 12, 2025, distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Tickets became available on August 15, with early screenings on September 9 for Crunchyroll Mega and Ultimate Fan subscribers.
Viewers can choose between the original Japanese version with English subtitles or the English-dubbed version, with screenings also available in IMAX and other premium formats. The movie runs for 155 minutes (2h35m) and debuted in the highest number of Japanese theaters in the franchise’s history. It’s breaking records in Japan, surpassing 25 billion yen within 31 days and already ranking as the third highest-grossing Japanese film of all time.
