(0 reviews)

The upcoming anime A Star Brighter Than the Sun has released a new trailer, introducing another cast member and the ending theme song. Haruka Shiraishi will voice Subaru Kamishiro, and Wanuka performs the ending theme, "Saishin-wa."

Studio KAI is bringing the series to life, set to premiere on October 2, 2025. Aya Kobayashi directs, Yasuhiro Nakanishi pens the script, Jin Feng Zeng designs the characters, and Miki Sakurai composes the music. The opening theme, "Stellar Days," is performed by Motohiro Hata, with the voice cast featuring:

  • Minori Fujidera as Sae Iwata

  • Yuki Ono as Koki Kamishiro

  • Hina Yomiya as Hisui Onodera

  • Taito Ban as Yota Ayukawa

  • Mutsumi Tamura as Mio Kagawa

  • Ryota Osaka as Yushin Izawa

The anime is inspired by a manga series written by Kazune Kawahara, serialized in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret shojo magazine since June 2021. VIZ Media has licensed the English version of the manga and describes the first volume’s story as follows: Sae and Koki have been friends since childhood, but at the end of middle school, Sae realizes Koki has grown up! Now in high school, she discovers she has feelings for him. However, Sae isn’t the only girl with her eyes on Koki. The big question remains—who does Koki have feelings for?
