The beloved anime Assassination Classroom is making a comeback with new content to celebrate its 10th anniversary. A movie titled “Minna no Jikan” is set to premiere in Japan on March 20, 2026, featuring stories that were not included in the original series.
Studio Lerche is returning for the film, with Masaki Kitamura stepping in as director, replacing Seiji Kishi. Assassination Classroom screenwriter Makoto Uezu and character designer Aya Higame (Toilet-bound Hanako Kun) round out the confirmed initial staff list.
Crunchyroll streams the Assassination Classroom TV series and describes it as follows: Forget about homework and pop quizzes. The students of Class 3E have a much bigger task—eliminate their teacher before the year ends! A tentacled sensei moving at Mach 20 plans to take over the classroom after destroying seventy percent of the moon. Besides teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic, this deadly instructor shares his expertise in assassination. If a student masters the art of killing, they can save Earth from extinction and earn a hefty reward.
