  1. HoYoverse has revealed Honkai: Nexus Anima, the latest addition to the Honkai franchise, and has begun recruitment for its first closed beta. The “Nexus Bond Test” is open for registration on PC and iOS until September 12. Game Overview Honkai: Nexus Anima is a creature-collecting adventure strategy game where unseen bonds called “Nexus” connect opposing forces like Light and Dark or Life and Death. When these connections break, their energy spreads across the world as Anima. Players step into the role of a “plane-hopping traveler who escapes captivity,” exploring new realms and building connections with Anima companions. Each Anima has its own unique personality and concept. Their abilities can be enhanced and combined, influencing combat strategies and exploration decisions. Honkai: Nexus Anima Closed Beta DetailsThe Nexus Bond Test is set to launch as a closed beta, with all data being reset once the testing phase ends. The news was confirmed by Apte Pro, where he also served as president and CEO. Born in Tokyo on September 8, 1952, Hashi enjoyed a career spanning over four decades. His iconic roles include Toki in Fist of the North Star, Kakuzu in Naruto, Dogstorm/Inuarashi in One Piece, James Black in Detective Conan, Donovan Desmond in SPY×FAMILY, and Vearn in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. He is also remembered as the Japanese voice of Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films, originally portrayed by Alan Rickman.   12. Tenko-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishojo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken, also known as Tenbin, is set to receive a TV anime adaptation in 2026. Ikumi Hasegawa will lend her voice to the main character, Haruki Nikaido. The anime was first announced on September 23 during the Sneaker Bunko 35th Anniversary Festa livestream, and this marks the first update since the announcement. Check out the teaser video below. The story originally debuted as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in June 2020. Kadokawa later published a revised edition featuring illustrations under its Sneaker Bunko label in February 2021. Since then, the series has gained momentum, with the ninth volume set to release on August 29, 2025. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Kina Oyama, is also ongoing and currently has seven volumes available. The plot centers on Hayato Kirishima, who moves from the countryside to attend high school in the city. There, he unexpectedly reunites with Haruki, a childhood friend he hasn’t seen in seven years. As kids, Hayato had assumed Haruki was a boy, but now Haruki has grown into a stunning young woman. Their reunion kicks off a romantic comedy filled with misunderstandings, nostalgia, and new emotions.
  13. Tales of Wedding Rings Season 2 has unveiled a new key visual, along with its October 4 premiere date and theme song details. The sequel was announced right after Season 1 concluded, with Miyu Tomita joining the cast as Morion Ravry Nokanatika. The announcement, made on August 27, coincides with the anniversary of Sato and Hime’s wedding. The new opening theme, “Daybreak” by Sizuk, follows their work from Season 1. Meanwhile, the ending theme, “any if,” will be performed by Akari Kito, the Japanese voice actress for Hime. Tales of Wedding Rings Season 2 – New Key Visual | October 4 Premiere Date The Tales of Wedding Rings manga, created by Maybe, was published by Square Enix and ran in their Monthly GanGan magazine from March 2014 to August 2024. The anime’s first season was directed by Takashi Noya at Staple Entertainment, with Saori Nakashiki as the character designer and Deko Akao handling the script. Crunchyroll is streaming the series.   14. After its successful premiere, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Movie 1 unveiled a new visual featuring the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho. Following its domestic release, Infinity Castle Movie 1 launched internationally on August 14 and has been rolling out worldwide. In North America, Crunchyroll Mega and Ultimate Fan subscribers can enjoy early screenings on September 9, with regular screenings starting on September 12.   15. Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 has released a new trailer showcasing Reno Ichikawa wielding his new Numbered Kaiju Weapon. Previously, the anime revealed visuals for Gen Narumi and Isao Shinomiya. Episode 19, titled “The Wall,” is the 7th episode of Season 2 and is set to premiere on August 30. In this episode, Reno, having successfully completed the one-month training period from the previous episode, embarks on his first battle with the Numbered Weapon. The new trailer highlights his action-packed debut. Studio Production I.G is back in action, with Studio Khara once again handling the creature designs. The anime has already unveiled its theme songs through two trailers. Aurora performs the opening song, “You Can’t Run From Yourself,” while OneRepublic returns with the new ending track, “Beautiful Colors.” Naoya Matsumoto's manga Kaiju No. 8 started serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform, with 15 volumes released by March. The franchise's game adaptation, Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, has surpassed 750,000 million pre-registrations and is set for a worldwide release on August 31.
  16. Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister manga wraps up today after more than four years of serialization. Debuting in April 2021, it inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation by Studio Drive that aired from Fall 2025 to Winter 2025. To mark the finale, special illustrations by Negi Haruba (The Quintessential Quintuplets, Go! Go! Loser Ranger) and Haruko Iizuka (the anime’s character designer) have been unveiled. Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister manga, written and illustrated by Marcey Naito, has come to an end, accompanied by special illustrations from Haruko Iizuka and Negi Haruba. The series, originally published as a one-shot in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, began regular serialization in April 2021. Kodansha USA handles the English publication, while Crunchyroll streams the anime adaptation. The story revolves around Uryu Kamihate, a young boy aspiring to enter medical school. He ends up at the Amagami Shrine as his foster home, where he meets the three charming sisters, Yae, Yuna, and Asahi. To his surprise, he is told he must marry one of the sisters and inherit the shrine, setting the stage for a romantic comedy.
  17. Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is set to hit Japanese theaters on September 19, with an IMAX version premiering simultaneously at 61 locations across the country. J-Novel Club, which licenses the light novel in English, describes the story: Akiteru, unlucky in love and scorned by every girl he meets, is focused on securing a spot for his game-development team at his uncle’s company. But his uncle gives him one condition—pretend to be his daughter’s boyfriend. This complicates things, especially with Iroha, his best friend’s sister, who loves to tease him.   21. The manga series "The Food Diary of Miss Maid" by Susumu Maeya is set to receive a TV anime adaptation, scheduled for release in 2026. Orphie & Magus, the squad’s captain, specializes in laser-based combat and team coordination, granting allies boosted attacks and defense-piercing capabilities. Mercury, an S-Rank Bangboo companion, enters the game as a tank operator. Returning agents Trigger and Evelyn will be available, while Soldier 0 – Anby is undergoing updates for a future release. Version 2.2 introduces new events like Band of Brave Bangboo, a tower defense mode with new maps, enemies, and environmental hazards. Completing stages unlocks the A-Rank Excaliboo companion, which alternates between sword and hammer attacks by chance. Rhythm Rave, a rhythm-based mini-game, features familiar tracks and offers in-game rewards. Quality-of-life improvements include expanded customization, allowing players to choose Belle or Wise before starting companion events like Quality Time invites. Additionally, Zenless Zone Zero has launched its first gaming peripherals collaboration with Razer, featuring Miyabi. The collection includes the Razer Iskur V2 X, Razer BlackWidow V4 X, Razer Cobra, and Razer Gigantus V2 – Medium.
