It won’t change things. A lot of fans are upset about the lack of respect for Japanese culture or history and a seemingly blatant push to change things. Yes, I’m aware that it’s a fictional game, but they’re trying to claim that the events and characters contained in the game are all canon to the time period.

I’m excited for it. Always enjoyed playing as the various heroes, so it will be an interesting change to play as someone else and still able to interact with them.
