Guilty Crown is set in a dystopian future where Japan is under the control of a multinational organization called GHQ, following the outbreak of the "Apocalypse Virus." The story follows high school student Shu Ouma, who gains an extraordinary ability known as "The Power of the Kings" after a chance encounter with Inori Yuzuriha, a member of the resistance group called Funeral Parlor.
